For all you Hello Kitty fans!!!

Guess who's back at McDonalds? Yup!!! Hello Kitty :) Yes, okay maybe I am a little old for happy meals BUT not when Kitty is in the box! These watches are supppeeeerrrr cute, fun and digital. McDonalds brought them back for Sanrio's 50th Anniversary. They come in 6 classic characters.  I'm not sure how long they will stick around but if you like them go visit McD's and pick up a girly happy meal :)

Swatch: Essie Going Incognito - Winter 2010

Happy Saturday all!!! I wanted to write a quick swatch / review on Essie's Going Incognito. I bought this polish as part of Essie's Winter 2010 mini collection. This is one of the one's i thought i might not wear at all or much but you know what? I was very wrong.... I really really like this color a lot. Going Incognito is a deep hunter green. I'm going to assume the name comes from the fact that it can be almost a camo type of color. The formula goes on very nice and opaque. I could have done with just one coat but I used two to make it al even and a little darker. This shade is really the perfect color for the holidays if you want something less traditional than red. I like it and recommend it to you ladies who aren't sure about green polish but might not mind wearing a dark dark green. My minis collection came in a set of four shades and it cost me about $12.00 on Ebay. If you want a full size bottle they sell for about $8.00 a bottle. Enjoy and happy holidays!

Advice: I love love Essie, i must own 30 shades. I highly recommend this brand and don't have anything negative to say.

Review / Swatch: OPI Give Me A Coral Sometime

Here's another polish review. I found this shade while shopping at TJ Maxx this past weekend. This shade was released with OPI's Retro Fun in the Sun Collection in 2008. It came alongside another polish. OPI is usually about $8.00 and i bought these two for $7.00 which i though was a great deal. On to the review.... This is a dark coral color with a gold shimmery undertone. The consistency of this polish is very thin and sheer. I liked that it dried fast but i needed to put two coats to get it to the shade in the pictures which still wasn't enough for my taste. I like the color but i really don't like how sheer it is. I like my nail polish to be opaque and when i saw the bottle i never imagined it would be this sheer. With that said it is a pretty good color for the summer and if you're in a hurry this polish is great since it dries super fast.

Advice: I'm not sure if this shade is part of OPI's permanent line. If you like it and it's not check EBay you can find anything there! 'Til next time :)

Review: EOS Lip Balm in Summer Fruit

I recently picked this little guy up at Ulta after reading a ton of good things about it. It costs $3.99. I think you can get it a little cheaper on the EOS website but I didn’t feel like waiting for it to ship just to save a few cents. This lip balm is 100% natural and 95% organic. There is 0.25 ounces of product compared to 0.15 in a normal stick of Chapstick. What do I think about this product? I love the cute little packaging. It’s round and big enough to be found easily in my purse. The actual balm inside is also round like an egg and smells delicious! Despite the fruity scent this balm has absolutely no taste. That’s one thing I hate about Chapstick you always have that weird taste in your mouth after using it. I like the shape of the balm it’s unique. At first I didn’t like that the balm was a little dryer than normal Chapstick but it becomes slicker with use. This balm has absolutely no shine so if you're one of those girls who need gloss in your life this isn't for you. I have to say that if I had to pick one thing I love about this balm is that it really does stay on super long. I don’t have to apply it as often. I had it on during lunch and after I finished I could still feel it there. The one thing that may be a deal breaker for some is the fact that this lip balm does not come with an SPF. I don’t mind because I generally stay out of the sun. The price is a little much if you’re just looking for a regular lip balm but the fact that you get a lot more product should be noted. I will definitely buy another one once this one is used up.

Advice: Pick this up if your looking to try something new and are curious. Skip it if you’re on a budget and do not care what kind of balm you use.

Swatch: Rimmel Lasting Finish Blush in Winter Glow (014)

Rimmel Blush in Winter Glow

This is the only blush from Rimmel I own. It claims to be a "blendable powder blush & highlighter". It also says it's a long lasting blush but based on my trial I doubt that. It lasts just as long as all my other blush's. There's really nothing special about this blush. The only thing i really did like is that the color it's very girly and I like that it has three different shades to chose from. The highlight color is a bit too dark in my opinion to be a highlight. I like to use all three colors at the same time it creates a very nice pink color. I don't think i'll be buying more blushes from Rimmel just because i have other favorites.

**I am wearing NYX lipgloss Smokey Look on my lips.

Review / Swatch: NYX Mega Shine Lipgloss in Smokey Look (LG159)

NYX Mega Shine Lipgloss - This is the one and only NYX gloss i currently own. I decided to try one out for myself the other day while at Ulta. This shade is called Smokey Look, it is a corally pink color. It's very shiny and smooth. Im still in between liking and not liking this gloss. I like the color a lot. I also really like that it stays pretty long. I do not like that it leaves my lips a little more sticky than other glosses i have which is annoying. I bought this gloss for $5.00 they sell for $5.50 on the NYX website.

Advice: Try it out if your looking for something new to try, some people actually like the stickyness of lip glosses and it's really not so bad.

On my lips... i have very dark pink lips so this isn't true to color on me but its a very pretty color

Review: NYX Nude on Nude Natural Look Kit

NYX Nude on Nude Natural Look Kit

Nude on Nude Palette
9 Neutral Shadows
3 Mattes
6 Shimmers

A little compartment opens up and hides two corresponding lip colors

Here i present to you a great little palette! This palette houses 9 different and very beautiful neutral colored shadows ranging from matte to shimmer, brown to gold and pink. The quality of the shadow is very good as are all NYX shadows. This little palette is portable, it fits just about anywhere. It also has two lipgloss colors that match the shadows very well, a light pink and a berry color i don't really like to use these glosses only because i prefer to leave my shadow at home and only take my gloss with me in my purse. If your looking for something less neutral NYX sells the sam style palette in Smokey Look, Bronze Smokey Look, and Purple Smokey Look. These palettes range from $8.00 - $11.00 (depending if they are on sale or not, mine was $8.00!)

Advice: Check these out. They can be found online or at any retailer that sells NYX products.

Must have: Urban Decay Eden Primer Potion

Urban Decay Eden Primer Potion

Top Swatch
Bottom blended out

If there is one thing i think every girl needs in their makeup drawer / collection / bag lol is this little magic potion! I don't know what i did before Urban Decay Eden Primer Potion.... Really i don't. This product allows your shadow to stay all day, it does not crease, and it looks vibrant and more pigmented. If you cannot bear to spend a whopping $18.00 on this brand i really do suggest you pick up an eyeshadow primer from another company. It is for sure something you need. I will stick to this one i absolutely adore it and to be honest it may be $18.00 but a little really does go a long long way. This primer potion, Eden, is one of 4 different shades Urban Decay has out right now, Greed, Sin, Eden, and Original. It also comes in a professional size tube. Sometimes these will come along with Urban Decay shadow palettes, if you have a chance to try a trial size do so its a great products.

Advice: If you use primer make sure you use a little over the lid and brown bone and under the eye if you'd like and blend it well. This particular shade is not transparent so if you don't blend it, it will look cakey and gross.

I discovered NYX products through Youtube bloggers. I saw video after video using an array of products so i decided to try them out. I can honestly say i love NYX. From their shadows to their liners i love everything about it. I feel that their line is high quality and affordable. Anyone can but NYX without feeling like they have spent their whole paycheck on makeup.

These shadows are beautiful. If you like shimmer these shadows may be right up your alley. There is very little fall out, high pigmentation, and very blendable. I love to use these, one color, all over my lid when I'm in a hurry and just want to look collected and pretty. All in all these shadows are awesome! Here are only two shadow trios out of the maybe 20 they have on sale or more. Each trio costs about $8.00 BUT Ulta has sales all the time.

Advice: If your looking for high quality and low price you will be happy to try these little gems.

Review / Swatch: Wet N' Wild Pride Palette

Wet N' Wild Pride Palette # 247
Top - With Urban Decay Primer
Bottom - Without Primer

With Primer

Without Primer

This palette is not only affordable at $4.00 but the pigmentation of the shadows is amazing. There are 3 matte shades and 3 shimmery shades. The consistency of the shadows are mostly pretty creamy with the acceptation of the lightest shades those are a bit more powdery. They are very easy to work with and very blendable. The only thing i can say bothers me but it isn't a deal breaker  is the fact that the light shades powder up and cause a bit more fall out than i like but again not a big deal.

Advice: Try one of these out and let me know what you think you won't regret it.

Review / Swatch: Wet N' Wild Lust Palette

Wet N' Wild Lust Palette # 247

With Urban Decay Primer

Top - With Primer
Bottom - Without Primer

I recently purchased this palette along with the next one (Pride Palette) because of the recommendation of a good friend of mine and i must say i was pleasantly surprised!

Review / Swatch Peachy Keen by China Glaze

I spent months looking for this color.... I saw a girl at CVS wearing it and i just had to have it. It took forever but the wait was worth it :). The picture above shows the color to be a little more dark orange than it actually is. This color is more of a light bright orange. China Glaze's formula might just be my favorite, it goes on easy and opaque. It also dries fairly quickly. If you like orange nail polish i definitely recommend you pick this shade up. I purchased it at my local Ulta.

Advice: None today, have a happy and relaxing Sunday!
